JDRF One Walk Benefits Type 1 Diabetes Research

An accomplished global manufacturing executive and a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Philip Calhoun serves as executive vice president of Total Quality Engineering. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Philip Calhoun supports charitable organizations, such as UNICEF and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
Established more than 45 years ago, JDRF funds research into treatments and cures for Type 1 diabetes, an autoimmune disease that affects millions of children and adults worldwide. The organization’s signature fundraising event is the JDRF One Walk, the largest Type 1 Diabetes event in the word.
More than 900,000 people participate each year, walking individually or as members of a family or school team. The family-friendly event includes fun activities and entertainment and provides an opportunity for community members to gather and promote positive change.
Proceeds from One Walk fund life-saving research and support JDRF’s mission to prevent, treat, and cure Type 1 Diabetes. For more information or to find an upcoming JDRF One Walk event, visit www2.jdrf.org.
