After graduating from the University of Michigan with a BA in mechanical engineering, Philip Calhoun embarked on a career in the automotive industry. An avid learner, Philip Calhoun has never stopped improving his managerial skills. Among other certificates, he has earned Kaizen Certification.

Kaizen Institute issues certificates to individuals who complete one of the organization’s courses. The three certification tiers are aptly named Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3.

The Level 1 course introduces the principles of the Kaizen operating philosophy. During the course, students learn theory basics and terminology and obtain basic tools for operating in a Kaizen environment.

The Level 2 course delves deeper into the Kaizen philosophy and methodology. Advanced techniques and concepts are introduced. Graduates are ready to lead a waste-free work environment.

The Level 3 course prepares candidates to become Kaizen leaders of waste-free work environments and support their coworkers in obtaining Kaizen certificates.
